How to: Rearrange text in Outline view in PowerPoint 7.0.
Solution:
Select 'outline view' and select the text to be rearranged. Click the 'Move Up', 'Move Down' or 'Promote' Outlining toolbar buttons.
1) Display the presentation in 'Outline' view by selecting the 'View' menu and selecting 'Outline'.
2) To select the desired text, click on the bullet or slide icon to the left of the desired paragraph text or individual text. (The cursor changes to a four-headed arrow, and the selection is highlighted. If a bullet was clicked, the entire line is highlighted. If a slide was selected, the entire paragraph section, until the next slide, is highlighted.)

NOTE: Press and hold down the SHIFT key to select multiple sections of text.
3) Do one or more of the following to rearrange the selected text:
a) Click 'Move Up' on the 'Outlining' toolbar. (The selected line or section moves up one level.)

c) Click 'Promote (Indent less)' on the 'Outlining' toolbar. (The selected line or section moves to the left one.)
